Hello, I'm Katie, the maker behind all the handmade flowers. I am a Mum of three boys and a wife. I have always loved making things and have used many different materials over the years, selling these locally. I discovered crochet a few years ago. I completed many blankets and found it so relaxing, a way to switch off from what was going on around me, especially during COVID. I eventually had the idea to try making some flowers. I am completely self taught using YouTube as my teaching tool. I realised that I was quite good at it so started making up some bouquets. My collection has slowly grow to include several styles. I hope you enjoy looking through them all.
The first bouquet I made was nicknamed 'The Summer Bouquet'. It helped me to organise myself and remember the types of flowers I was using. When I started designing my second bouquet I started to think about what I could call it. One of my boys had a hamster called Summer, who was a very much loved character within the whole family. She gave us so much joy so I decided to keep the name of Summer for my first bouquet. My second bouquet became 'Amelia', as two of my closest friends both had daughters with this name. From there each bouquet has been named in honour of the beautiful women in my life, those that bring me joy and happiness.
